Halloween is right around the corner, so, to get into that Halloween spirit, these two local haunted houses are a must. We found the two scariest haunted houses in the area.
The Terror on Washington Street is the place to go when looking for a scare. They opened on October 6th and they are open for the next 3 weekends of October, including the 13-14, 20-21, and 27-28. Terror on Washington Street includes a tour of the House and a Friendly Ghost Tour 5-6pm on Saturdays.
The second haunted house is the Downs Haunted House. This local haunted house is open for the next three weekends, including the 13-14, 20-21, and 27-28. The Downs Haunted House includes a hay bale ride and a tour of the house.
Terror on Washington Street is located on E Washington Street, Clinton Illinois.

Both of these places are full of fun and have great reviews. Some of the reviews consisted of “Most scares were on target and none of the actors broke character. Actor performance was strong”. They have both been open for a while, Terror on Washington Street has been ranked one of the Top 10 Haunted Houses In Illinois for many years and The Village of Downs Haunted House was established in 1992.
