Nike socks are commonly worn by athletes during a game but also have become a part of everyday wear. Nike socks have been popular for years, and the social media influence has led to more popularity among many teens, not just athletes.
Gabby Dow, a junior, who plays golf owns Nike socks, she wears them because they are comfy and have a good range of sizes. She likes to wear them because they are good while playing sports. Gabby says that she would suggest Nike socks because “They are trendy and everyone likes to keep up with trends, along with them being good for athletes.”
Walker Mullins, a sophomore who plays baseball at Heyworth High School owns several pairs of Nike socks. He went on to say that he wears Nike socks because they are comfortable, durable, and look good. But the one thing he dislikes the most about Nike socks is that everyone has them, and everyone wears them. He chooses Nike Socks over other brands because he likes the way they look.
While many athletes wear Nike Socks, Freshmen athlete Emmet Babb states that he doesn’t like Nike socks “because they’re overpriced and they don’t last.” He says that he prefers to wear Dickies socks instead.
Sophomore Haley Young stated that she doesn’t own Nike socks. She says that Nike socks are extremely overpriced. When asked if she would suggest Nike socks, she said “No they’re overpriced and not even good quality. She says that she prefers to wear socks from Walmart.
Based on all the people we talked to and interviewed, We have come to the conclusion that Nike socks can mainly be associated with sports. Or to be trendy and cute, because like Gabby Dow said “Everyone wants to keep up with the trends!”
