Girls Basketball Pre-Season Preview

Winter is here and so is girls basketball. With Reese, Bailey, Madelyn, and Taryn gone, this means there are lots of new possibilities for our underclassmen to step up.

The freshmen are looking forward to making a statement for the team here at Heyworth early in high school. While some sophomores and juniors are looking forward to more than just winning, but also having a good time. We interviewed Kyra Denning, a junior and returning member of the girl's basketball team, about her goals for the new basketball season, she said “My goals are to win a lot of games and just grow together as a team overall.” That is a huge key for any team. If you grow together as a team overall that will cause you to win a lot of games and make a push for playoffs. Kyra also explained about the things she’s looking forward to which are “Playing with all of my friends and getting closer to the underclassmen. I am also looking forward to getting better as a team and just having fun on the court.”
