Festival of Lights

Ryleigh Mealey

The Festival of Lights in Peoria is a tradition for many families. If you want to make a new tradition with your family, you should consider the Festival of Lights.

This is located at 123 Par 3 Lane, East Peoria (in VFW Post 2078 Park off Springfield Road). The price for this event is $10 for regular vehicles (cars, trucks, and vans). $30 for a small bus (mini, party, shuttle, school, RV, and limousine), and $150 for a full-size charter motorcoach.

The hours are 5 - 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday (shorter lines) 5 - 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 5 - 9 p.m. December 24 through January 1. Some of the lights include a Candy Cane Factory, Lighted Arches, circus animals, a ski jumper display, Prehistoric Land, Space Land, Western Town, and so much more.

This is a really fun family. It takes about 30 minutes to drive through, so plan accordingly! You can also turn your vehicle’s radio to 88.1 FM for holiday music to accompany your drive.
