What is FCA? FCA is an international non-profit Christian sports ministry founded in 1954 and based in Kansas City, Missouri. It has staff offices located throughout the United States and abroad. The FCA kickoff was a success because people had fun playing basketball, volleyball, spikeball, and bags. Most importantly, the students that attended were there for one reason; to get closer to god. It was a bonus that this journey was built around fun and games. In total, close to 40 junior high and high school students attended the inaugural FCA Kickoff event.
While not every meeting involves playing games, it is a good way to connect to other student athletes that have the same religious connection and passion. Other students should consider joining because they can try to get closer to god. The next meeting is this Thursday in Mrs. Bonnel’s room.
