Breakfast: The Most Important Meal of the Day?

Emma Mowery

Breakfast is billed as the most important meal of the day. It is supposed to get you started with energy to do well in all of your activities. For most people, this meal looks more like a bowl of cereal. So, we decided to investigate a little further to document what were the favorite cereals here at HHS.

Kylie Hanslow, a sophomore, said “Frosted Flakes." This is a go-to cereal for many students based on our interview. However, Kylie also said that if she could choose to put a boxed cereal in the vending machine, she would want to have Froot Loops. This may be because Frosted Flakes is always better in milk, while Froot Loops is good straight out of the box.

Emily Rogers, a junior, went in a different direction. For both questions, she said that Lucky Charms was the way to go. It may be the sugar or it may be the marshmallows, but they certainly are magically delicious.

Finally, sophomore Paeton Komnick responded that the best possible cereal was Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Additionally, we asked what students' least favorite cereal was, and without much surprise, the overwhelming response was Rasin Bran.
