This year the Heyworth basketball team has faced many challenges, first, we had our seniors go off to college, and second, we brought in a new coach. Coach Mosley pushed our Basketball team so they could be great on and off the court. There were a lot of expectations from our new coach to help coach a new team and a new playbook that he is not used to before. Coach Mosley got the coaching job last year and has been working with the boys all summer to get them in shape, used to his new coaching style, and prepared for the winter season. This year did not start easy as they started their season 2-5 but that did not get to the boys as they have bounced back strong as they are currently on an 11-1 stretch for their last 12 games.
The boys have fully adapted to the new offense and have been on a roll. They also started regionals strong. They played the Grace Christian Crusaders and had an amazing game scoring a season-high 96 points. They will hope to keep this momentum going as they go into the later rounds of regionals.
