Last week on Thursday the art club took a trip to Chicago. While in Chicago those who went to the art museum, the Shed Aquarium, Millennium Wark, a shopping center, and some amazing food places. Senior, Calileia Anderson says, “My favorite memory was the bus ride because I got to be with my friends and had good conversations, also I love people-watching.” Senior, Ryleigh Mealey says, “My favorite part of the trip was seeing all the cool artwork in the museum. I also enjoyed spending the day in the city with my friends.”
Throughout the year the Art Club has consecutively fundraised for this trip. At home football and basketball games, they face paint, and in the fall we celebrate Hispanic art and culture and collaborate with the Spanish club with a Dia Los De Los Muertos event. Throughout the school year, we have bake sales at lunch. This fundraising all contributes to our trip where we go to Chicago. If you want to go on a fun trip enjoying the city join the art club next year and help fundraise for the next trip!
