Homecoming is a very special time and the memories you make attending the parade, the bonfire, the games, and the dance last a lifetime. Now that this crazy busy and fun week is over, when you look back on all these activities, you don't typically think about those uncomfortable shoes and itchy dresses. As part of our recap of Homecoming 2023, we interviewed several students to see what advice they would give to future students attending the dance.
Senior Sage Ellis said if she could give the incoming freshman a word of advice it would be to bring extra shoes to change into. Heels are uncomfortable and when you dance the last thing you want is your feet to hurt.
Landen, a freshman at Heyworth High School said it's very important to have a good shirt. He went on to say that looking good in pictures and in person is key to preserving those good memories.
Homecoming is a night of fun with you and your friends dancing the night away and having a good night with your friends. So, for next year, don't forget extra dancing shoes and a crisp shirt to help complete the evening!
