The Heyworth Softball season started on February 26th when the girls' softball team began practicing. The girls are confident about the season this year. The practices consist of defense working on infielding and outfielding perfecting their defense for this year. They also practice batting off the tees and off of the other pitchers on the team. The team this year consists of two seniors Macie Toepke and Morgan Kesler, five juniors Gabby Dow, Ava Riddle, Emily Rogers, Paylin Williams, and Ellasyn Loudenburg, two sophomores Aubrie Bardon and Angie Rivera, then finally three freshmen Natalie Kopp, Sidney Ditchen, and Grace Streenz. The senior class are amazing leaders and will hopefully lead the Hornets to a successful season.
